Open engine hood (1) and move to upright position

Unscrew bottom four bolts (4) in engine hood (1)



 The engine hood is held in place by the safety hooks on the engine hood hinges (5)

 Installation: Move bolts to coincide with pressure points in paint
Ensure that engine hood fits correctly,
if necessary 

Adjust engine hood

Unclip retainer (2) and unhook gas pressure strut (3) from engine hood (1) at top

Unscrew the two top bolts (4) in engine hood (1)


 Have second person secure engine hood
 Installation: Move bolts to coincide with impressions in paint

Remove engine hood (1) with help of second person and set down on suitable surface

 Avoid damaging paintwork
 Installation: Position engine hood in safety hooks on engine hood hinges (5)

Reinstall in opposite order
