Remove

Open pop-up roof

Remove both brackets for awning

Heat end cap (2) to approx. 40 °C and remove toward rear from awning frame (1)

 Heat gun

Drill out rivets (3)

Heat awning frame (1) at intervals to approx. 40 °C until the seal loosens and remove awning frame (1) from roof

 Helper required.

Clean

Remove remaining adhesive on roof in area of end cap (2) and remove awning frame (1)


Remove loose adhesive material.
Otherwise adhesion of the end cap (2) is not ensured.

Clean contact surface on awning frame (1) and end cap (2)

Install

Apply primer in area of awning frame (1) and end cap (2) on roof

SIKA primer 209, 250 ml

Apply adhesive to contact surface of awning frame (1)

Sikaflex -555

Position awning frame (1) on roof and install with rivets (3)

 Helper required.

Apply adhesive to contact surface on end cap (2)

Sikaflex -555

Position end cap (2) on awning frame (1), press onto roof and secure with suitable adhesive tape

Install both brackets for awning

Clean

Remove adhesive tape and clean working area


Observe the curing time of the adhesive.
Otherwise the adhesive effect may be impaired.
