Remove/install

Open maintenance flap (3)

Detach coolant line (4) and rear washer fluid line (5) from brackets (16)

Detach rear washer fluid line (5) and front washer fluid line (6) from bracket (17)

Disconnect front washer fluid line (6) at separation point to maintenance flap (3)

Unscrew screws (18) and remove maintenance flap (3)

Remove screws/bolts (19)

 Danger

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Lift vehicle with vehicle lift

Remove screws/bolts (20)

Unscrew screws (21) from left and right fender liner

Detach left and right fender liner from front bumper (1)

Disconnect electrical connection (31)

Unscrew bolt (22) on left and right wheel well

Pull out front bumper (1) under left front lamp unit (E1) and right front lamp unit and remove with aid of helper

14

Check retaining clips (23) for damage

For damage



Replace corresponding retaining clip (23).

Install in the reverse order



Unclip cover (13) and remove
