Remove/install

Open hood.

Remove screw/bolts (2) .

Lift vehicle with lifting platform.

Unclip wheel arch liner (3) on the left and right in the area of the front bumper (1).

Remove screws (4).

Remove nuts (5) and loosen all other screws of the front engine compartment lining (6).

 The front engine compartment lining (6) remains on the vehicle.

Remove Mercedes star.

Remove expansion rivets (7) on the right and left front fender liner (8).

 Dismantling tool

Unscrew screws (11) from the right and left front fender liner (8).

Press right and left front fender liner (8) to the side and remove bolts of front bumper (1) located underneath.

 There are 2 screws each on the right and left side, which connect the front bumper (1) to the front fender.

Remove front bumper (1) until the electrical connector (9) is accessible.

Detach electrical connection (9).

 Aid of helper required.

Disconnect electrical connector (10).

Release and disconnect electrical connectors at radar sensors in front bumper (1).

Remove front bumper (1).



Check

Check impact absorber for damage.
