Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

 To prevent the stationary heater from being switched on unintentionally, keep the Telestart transmitter protected against unauthorized or accidental access for the duration of the work on the stationary heater.

Lift vehicle with lifting platform.

Remove expansion rivets (2) and take off cover (3).

 Installation: Reinstall the cover (3) only after the leak test.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (6).

Release locking element (4).

Unlock fuel line (5) (arrow A) and disconnect from fuel metering pump (1).

 Collect escaping fuel with a suitable collecting pan.

Seal fuel line (5) and connection of fuel metering pump (1) immediately with suitable stop plugs.

Release locking element (7).

Unlock fuel line (8) on both sides (arrows B) and disconnect from fuel metering pump (1).

 Collect escaping fuel with a suitable collecting pan.

Seal fuel line (8) and connection of fuel metering pump (1) immediately with suitable stop plugs.

Unscrew nut (9) and remove fuel metering pump (1) with bracket (10).

Install in the reverse order.



Risk of explosion caused by fuel vapors igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling combustible gases and risk of injury caused by burns during and after operation of heater unit

Do not operate stationary heater, auxiliary heater or engine with heater booster in closed rooms or when refueling. Allow heater unit to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves.

Perform function test of heater.

Check fuel system at fuel metering pump (1) and at heater for leaktightness.

 Visual inspection.
