Remove

1

Remove voltage of high-voltage on-board electrical system.

Remove high-voltage power distributor in engine compartment.

Remove refrigerant condenser.

Expose coolant hose (1) at carrier plate (2).

Expose electric lines (3) at carrier plate (2).

Expose high-voltage lines (4) at carrier plate (2).

Release holder (5) at carrier plate (2) and place to one side.

Remove screw/bolts (6).

Remove carrier plate (2).

Remove screw (7), remove low-pressure line (8) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.

Remove screw (9), remove high-pressure line (10) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.

 Record plug

Disconnect electrical connector of electric line (11).

Disconnect high-voltage plug (12) from electric refrigerant compressor (A9/6) and seal connection with protective cover.

Ensure utmost care and cleanliness.
Otherwise, damage to the high voltage components may occur.

Remove screw (13).

Remove high-voltage battery coolant pump together with holder.

Remove screws (14, 15) and remove electric refrigerant compressor (A9/6) downwards.


Remove electric refrigerant compressor (A9/6) carefully.
Otherwise, surrounding component parts or the electric refrigerant compressor (A9/6) may be damaged.



Install

Position electric refrigerant compressor (A9/6) and screw in screws (14, 15).


Insert electric refrigerant compressor (A9/6) carefully.
Otherwise, surrounding component parts or the electric refrigerant compressor (A9/6) may be damaged.

Install high-voltage battery coolant pump together with holder.

 Perform diagnosis-assisted bleeding routine only after installation of the high-voltage power distributor.

Screw in screw (13).

 Screw, refrigerant compressor to electric motor

Remove protective cover and connect high-voltage plug (12).

Connect electrical connector of electric line (11).

Remove stop plugs, attach high-pressure line (10) and screw in screw (9).

 Replace sealing ring of high-pressure line (10).

 Screw/bolt, refrigerant lines to A/C compressor

Remove stop plugs, attach low-pressure line (8) and screw in screw (7).

 Replace the sealing ring of the low-pressure line (8).

 Screw/bolt, refrigerant lines to A/C compressor

Position carrier plate (2).

Screw in bolts (6).

 Screw, carrier plate for refrigerant condenser to front axle major assembly carrier

Attach holder (5), high voltage lines (4), electric lines (3) and coolant hose (1) to carrier plate (2).

Install refrigerant condenser.
