Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been evacuated.

Remove/install

Drain air conditioning system

 Installation: Install new sealing rings.

Slacken poly-V-belt (3) and remove from belt pulley of refrigerant compressor with magnetic clutch (A9/7)

Lower steering

Disconnect electrical connector (6)

Remove refrigerant lines (4 and 5) at refrigerant compressor with magnetic clutch (A9/7) and close openings with stop plugs

 Removal:
Do not use a tool to disconnect the connections and avoid damage (scratches, notches) on the sealing surfaces.
Otherwise, the leaktightness of the refrigerant circuit can no longer be ensured.

 Installation: Replace gaskets.

 Screw, refrigerant line (CO2) to refrigerant compressor

If damage (scratches, notches) occurs to the sealing surfaces

Replace corresponding component.

Remove screws (7) and remove holder (9)

 Screw/bolt, refrigerant compressor to timing case/crankcase/engine support

Unscrew bolt (8)

 Screw/bolt, refrigerant compressor to timing case/crankcase/engine support

Remove refrigerant compressor with magnetic clutch (A9/7) upwards


Carefully remove refrigerant compressor with magnetic clutch (A9/7).
Otherwise, surrounding components or the refrigerant compressor with magnetic clutch (A9/7) may be damaged.

Install in the reverse order

Perform break in of refrigerant compressor with magnetic clutch (A9/7) using diagnostic system

When replacing refrigerant compressor with magnetic clutch (A9/7).


