Do not perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Unscrew dust caps from the test and filling valves (1, 2) and connect air conditioning service unit



 Operate air conditioning service unit as described in the manufacturer's operator's manual.

Suction off refrigerant


Determine and note the quantity of compressor oil extracted.
A wrongly determined oil filling quantity can lead to refrigerant compressor damage.

Clean and evacuate air conditioning system

Replace compressor oil extracted with new compressor oil and add to the refrigerant circuit


When refilling the refrigerant circuit, the specified total filling capacity must not be exceeded or fallen below.
Otherwise damage to the refrigerant compressor may occur.

Disconnect air conditioning service unit and seal test and filling valves (1, 2) with dust caps



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Start engine and check operation of air conditioning at idle speed

Switch air conditioning off and turn engine off

Inspect air conditioning system for leaks with air conditioning leak detector

 Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions.
