Detach ventilation box and put down on engine

Position suitable catch reservoir for coolant below vehicle

Remove connections from heater at front

Remove air ducts

Disconnect connector (2) from exit temperature sensor

Expose lead (3) and disconnect connector (4)

Unscrew bolts (5)

Remove heater housing (1)

Installation: Ensure that line (3) to ventilation box is routed properly. Check seals for the air outlet and inlet openings, replace if necessary.

Install in the reverse order

Set time on instrument cluster

Except code J19, tachograph.

25.1

Set time on timer for auxiliary heater

With code H12, hot water auxiliary heater or H86, timer for auxiliary heater.

Read out DTC memory

If necessary, delete DTC memory.
