1 | Remove front floor covering | ||
2 | Remove expansion valve | ||
3 | Remove right sound converter box | ||
4 | Remove electronic accelerator | ||
5 | Remove tie straps (2) on horizontal strut (3) | ||
6 | Unscrew bolts (4) at crossmember (5) | ||
7 | Unscrew nuts (6) at firewall and remove horizontal strut (3) | ||
8 | Remove driver-side footrest (7) | ||
9 | Remove insulation on AC line (8), AC line (9) and unscrew bolts (10) | ||
10 | Open slide (11) downward (arrows) and remove AC line (8), AC line (9) | Close AC line (8), AC line (9) to prevent moisture and dirt from entering. | |
Installation: Replace sealing rings at evaporator and at AC line (8), AC line (9). Ensure that AC line (8), AC line (9) is properly locked. | |||
11 | Remove electrical connector (12) from bracket (13) and disconnect | ||
12 | Unhook recirculated air cable (14) from air recirculation unit (1) | Installation: Insert recirculated air cable (14) in catch (17) and latch in place on lever (18). Adjust recirculated air cable (14): | |
Detach recirculated air cable (14) from catch (17) on lever (18) of air recirculation unit (1). Push heater/ventilation operating unit lever all the way upward and hold. Push lever (18) on air recirculation unit (1) all the way to the left and lock recirculated air cable (14) covering. | |||
13 | Unscrew nut (15) at top of firewall | ||
14 | Unscrew nuts (16) at bottom of firewall and remove air recirculation unit (1) | ||
15 | Install in the reverse order | ||
16 | Carry out function test |
