Buffer basic data of TV tuner (A2/42) or TV combination tuner (analog/digital) (A90/1) in Star Diagnosis

When replacing TV tuner (A2/42) or TV combination tuner (analog/digital) (A90/1).

Installation: Transmit buffered basic data to new TV tuner (A2/42) or TV combination tuner (analog/digital) (A90/1).

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit

In vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go, press the Keyless-Go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off.

Remove Keyless-Go chip card or transmitter key from vehicle and store beyond the range of the transmitter (at least 2 m).

Unscrew nuts (3)

Remove bracket (4) together with TV tuner (A2/42) or TV combination tuner (analog/digital) (A90/1) upwards

Unscrew nut (6)

When replacing TV tuner (A2/42) or TV combination tuner (analog/digital) (A90/1).

Expose electrical lines and disconnect electrical connector (1)

Installation: Replace cable ties (5).

Disconnect electrical connector with fiber optic cable (2)

To avoid damaging them, do not kink fiber optic cables, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm.

Cover electrical connector with fiber optic cable (2) and device connector on TV tuner (A2/42) or TV combination tuner (analog/digital) (A90/1)

Simultaneously press in catch hooks (7) on left and right side of bracket (4) and remove TV tuner (A2/42) from bracket (4)

When replacing TV tuner (A2/42) with code (860) TV tuner.

Remove TV combination tuner (analog/digital) (A90/1) from bracket (4)

When replacing TV combination tuner (analog/digital) (A90/1) with code (863) Digital/analog TV tuner.
