Remove left and right trim on D-pillar

Remove grab handles (1) of 3rd seat row on roof

Remove air vents (2) of 3rd seat row

Detach headliner (3) in area of liftgate or rear-end doors until electrical connectors are accessible


Do not kink or excessively bend headliner (3).
Otherwise the headliner (3) may crack and break.

Installation: Make sure that the headliner (3) is seated correctly.

Disconnect electrical connector on load compartment lamp

Disconnect electrical connector of Parktronic warning indicator in rear

Disconnect electrical connector at left trunk surround speaker (H4/62) or right trunk surround speaker (H4/63)

Remove left trunk surround speaker (H4/62) or right trunk surround speaker (H4/63) from guides (arrows) at headliner (3)

Install in the reverse order

Perform function check of speaker system
