Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

Remove load compartment floor.

Remove rear-end center-section trim.

Remove nuts (1).

Lift sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) with frame (2) and connected electric lines and turn so that the electrical connectors and screws (3) are accessible.


Do not crush or kink or subject lines to tension.
This will result in damage to the lines which may impair their functional capability.

Release and disconnect electrical connectors.

 The number of electrical connectors varies according to vehicle equipment.

Remove screws (3) and remove sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) from frame (2).

Install in the reverse order.

Carry out commissioning of sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3).

If sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) is replaced.


