1. If the radio is disconnected from the power supply it cannot be operated following reconnection. After switching on the ignition and the radio the word "CODE" appears on the display.
2. The code number for the radio is noted on the CODE CARD delivered together with the radio.
3. The radio must be switched on. Enter code number with station buttons. The station buttons are numbered
(1, 2, 3 and 4) corresponding to the digit positions 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the code number on the display.
When the first digit is entered the word "CODE" disappears and the digit entered is displayed followed by 4 dashes. Press station button "1" for the first digit of the code number. Analogously continue with buttons 2, 3 and 4 for digits 2, 3 and 4. When all 5 digits have been entered compare the number on the display with the code number. If an incorrect digit has been entered, reenter entire number code.
4. Confirm code number:
Press one of the station search buttons or scan button. The radio switches on automatically and indicates the station and frequency stored for station button 1.
5. If an incorrect code number is entered and confirmed, the word "CODE" reappears on the display. Enter code again. If the code is entered incorrectly three times, operation of the radio is inhibited approx. 60 minutes.
The disable time only expires when radio is switched on!
