Remove

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)

Open center stowage compartment on instrument panel

Remove center cover (3)

Insert removal fixtures (5) into cutouts on multimedia connection unit (1) until they latch into place

 Right cutout: The "TOP R" text on the  removal fixture (5) must face upward.
Left cutout: The "TOP L" text on the  removal fixture (5) must face upward.

 Removal assembly

Pull out multimedia connection unit (1) far enough to gain access to the electrical connectors (2)

Disconnect electrical connectors (2) and remove multimedia connection unit (1)

6

Press the left and right catch hook (4) and pull removal fixtures (5) out of multimedia connection unit (1)

 Removal assembly

Install

Connect electrical connectors (2)

Slide in multimedia connection unit (1) until it latches into place on both sides

Close center stowage compartment on instrument panel
