Expose leaky area of hose for windshield washer system for rear window

Sever leaky area of hose for windshield washer system for rear window

Heat one end of hose with hot-air blower and insert adapter (1) in end of hose



 Heat to max. 60 °C.
Insert adapter (1) into hose up to end stop.

Heat the other end of hose with hot-air blower and insert adapter (2) in end of hose

 Heat to max. 60 °C.
Insert adapter (1) into hose up to end stop.

Slide on heat-shrinkable tube (3) on one side of hose for windshield washer system for rear window

 Choose corresponding side based on accessibility.

Push adapter (1) onto adapter (2) up to end stop

Slide heat-shrinkable tube (3) centrally over connection of adapters (1, 2)

 Danger !

Risk of injury caused by burns to skin and eyes. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling fumes when working with heat-shrinkable tubing.

Work in well ventilated rooms only. Wear safety glasses with side protection and protective gloves.

Heat heat-shrinkable tube (3) with hot-air blower


Heat surface to max. 150 °C.
Only point hot-air blower at heat-shrinkable tube (3).
Otherwise the adjacent components can be damaged.
