Remove/install windshield washer hose

Remove/Install

Open engine hood (5) and move to upright position

 Installation: Do not close engine hood (5) until the washer fluid reservoir has been filled up.

Fold damper (2) upwards and secure against falling down

Remove expansion clips (3)

Unclip air duct (4) from engine hood (5)

Remove combination filter housing

Unclip covering (6) from the wheelhouse liner using a mounting wedge



Raise vehicle with lifting platform

Turn front wheels all the way to the left

Unscrew nut (7)

Detach rear section of fender liner (8) far enough from the fender until the windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1) and washer fluid hose (1) are accessible



Unclip retainer tab (9) on one side

Detach washer fluid hose (1) from windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1) and seal hose connection for windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1) using a suitable stop plug



Lower vehicle with lifting platform

Unclip drain hose (10) from air inlet (11) and clamp down

Remove tie strap (12)

 Installation: replace tie straps (12).

Pull washer fluid hose (1) out of wheelhouse liner

 Note correct installation positions.

Unclip washer fluid hose (1) from spray nozzles (13)

 Note correct installation positions.

Remove washer fluid hose (1) from retaining clamps (14)

19

Install in the reverse order

Fill washer fluid reservoir



Inspect fluid level of windshield washer system, adjust to correct level

Perform function test on window cleaning system
