Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.

When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m).

Remove

Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key

Raise cover (2)


Carefully raise cover (2).
Danger of breakage.

Unscrew nut (3)

Remove rear window wiper (1)


Carefully remove rear window wiper (1).
Risk of breakage to cover (2).

Install

Move wiper motor to parked position

Remove transmitter key

Vertically align wiper blade of rear window wiper (1) and attach rear window wiper (1)

Tighten nut (3)

 Nut, wiper arm to motor shaft

Close cover (2)

Check

Perform function check of rear window wiper (1)


