Risk of fire and explosion caused by ignition of window washing fluid or antifreeze and their vapors. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing window washing fluid or antifreeze or inhaling their vapors. Risk of injury or physical irritations caused by contact of window washing fluid or antifreeze with eyes, mucous membranes or skin.

Wear protective clothing and tight-fitting safety glasses. No open flames, fire or ignition sources. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. When working with window washing fluids or antifreeze, do not eat, drink, or smoke. Do not inhale vapors and ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area. Store window washing fluid and antifreeze leakfree in safely closed original containers and out of the reach of children.

Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.

When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m).

Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Mark position of wiper blade at the rear window with an adhesive strip.

Fold up cover (2) on wiper arm (1).

Detach connection fitting (3) of washer fluid hose.

Release nut (4).

 Do not unscrew nut (4) completely.

Detach wiper arm (1) with the puller (5) from wiper motor shaft.


Make sure that the puller spindle (6) of the  puller (5) does not prop up directly on the washer fluid connection (7).
Otherwise damage can occur to the washer fluid connection (7).

 Installation: Pay attention to alignment of wiper arm (1) to adhesive strip.

Unscrew nut (4) completely and remove wiper arm (1).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

9

Perform function test of rear window wiper system and rear window washer system.


