Warning

Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.

When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m).

Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Raise wiper arm (2).


Make sure that the wiper arm (2) does not fold back unexpectedly.
Otherwise the rear window can be damaged.

Push release hooks (3) together and remove wiper blade (1) in direction of arrow (arrow A) from wiper arm (2).


Make sure that the wiper arm (2) does not fold back unexpectedly.
Otherwise the rear window can be damaged.

Installation:
Ensure correct latching of release hook (3).
Otherwise the wiper blade (1) can release and the wiper arm (2) can damage the rear window.

Install in the reverse order.

Check

5

Perform function check of windshield washer system and windshield wiper system for the rear window.
