Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.

When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m).

Remove

Move windshield wiper system to basic position

Switch off ignition and remove ignition key

Open engine hood

Detach hose (4)

Fold up cover (1)

Unscrew nut (2) and detach wiper arm (3) from wiper shaft

Install

Align wiper blade of wiper arm (3) to the assembly marking on windshield and tighten nut (2)
