Remove/Install

Open engine hood and raise to vertical position

 Installation: Do not close engine hood until the washer fluid reservoir (4) has been filled.

Remove front section of fender liner in right front fender

Loosen rear section of fender liner (2) in right front fender until the HCS [SRA] pump (M5/2) and the washer fluid hose (1) are accessible



Remove bottom engine compartment paneling at front

Remove front section of fender liner in left front fender

On vehicles with code (489) Airmatic (semi-active air suspension)

Loosen front bumper

On vehicles with code (489) Airmatic (semi-active air suspension)

Disconnect washer fluid hose (1) from HCS [SRA] pump (M5/2) and close the hose connection of the HCS [SRA] pump (M5/2) with a suitable stop plug



Open retainer tab (3) on
washer fluid reservoir (4)

Take washer fluid hose (1) out of hose brackets (5)

Cut cable straps (6)

 Installation: replace tie straps (6).

Separate washer fluid hose (1) from left and right telescopic nozzle (7)

 A small quantity of washer fluid runs out.

Lower vehicle with lifting platform

Cut cable straps (8)

 Installation: replace tie straps (8).

Remove washer fluid hose (1) from front crossmember (9) and take out of front bumper

 Note the installation position of
washer fluid hose (1).

Install in the reverse order

Fill washer fluid reservoir (4)



Windshield washer system - inspect fluid level, adjust to correct level
