Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

Remove center liftgate trim.

Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect.

Loosen nut (2).

 The nut (2) remains on the inner left rear lamp unit (E3/1) or the inner right rear lamp unit (E4/1).

Squeeze clamping claw (3) together and remove inner left rear lamp unit (E3/1) or inner right rear lamp unit (E4/1) from liftgate.

 Installation: Make sure that the guide pins (5) insert correctly into the liftgate.

Check seal (4) for damage.

If seal (4) is damaged,



Install new seal (4).

Install in the reverse order.
