Danger! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. | Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. | |
1 | Raise vehicle | ||
2.1 | Remove bottom engine compartment paneling at front | Vehicles with gasoline engine | |
2.2 | Remove bottom part of noise encapsulation at the front. | Vehicles with diesel engine | |
3 | Unscrew nut (2) | Replace self-locking nut (2) to ensure that the front axle sensor for the headlamp range adjustment (A52) does not work its way loose. | |
4 | Remove linkage (1) on front axle sensor for headlamp range adjustment (A52) | Installation: Check linkage (1) for wear and replace if necessary. | |
5 | Detach electrical connector (4) | ||
6 | Unscrew nuts (3) | ||
7 | Remove right front level sensor (B22/8) | ||
8 | Install in the reverse order | ||
9 | Check headlamp setting and correct if necessary | ||
