1 | Move selector lever to position "P" | ||
2 | Extend the steering column in the lowest, rear-most position | ||
3 | Read out the variant coding of the EZS control unit (N73) | To do so, connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read data from EZS control unit (N73/) into STAR DIAGNOSIS. | |
Installation: Transfer stored data into the new EZS control unit (N73). | |||
4 | Remove the key from the EZS control unit (N73) | ||
5 | Remove instrument cluster (A1) | ||
6 | Unscrew the trim ring (1) with the claw wrench and guide the EZS control unit (N73) out to the opening in the instrument panel | Claw-type wrench for rosette on ignition/starter switch | |
7 | Detach the ignition lock cable (2) from the EZS control unit (N73) | ||
8 | Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the EZS control unit (N73) and remove the EZS control unit (N73) | ||
9 | Install in the reverse order | ||
10 | Perform function test | It must only be possible to move the selector lever out of position "P" when the key is in position "2" and the brake pedal is depressed. It must only be possible to remove the key in selector lever position "P" | |
11 | Read out fault memory | ||
