1 | Open trunk lid (10) | ||
2 | Unclip locking eye cover (8) | ||
3 | Remove rear center section paneling (9) | ||
4 | Mark installation position of locking eye (3) on rear end panel (2) | ||
5 | Disconnect electrical connector (5) | ||
6 | Remove bolts (4) | ||
7 | Remove locking eye (3) | ||
8 | Remove power closing (1) | ||
| Install | ||
9 | Install power closing (1) in rear end panel (2) | ||
10 | Insert locking eye operating lever (7) into bolts (6) of power closing (1) and position locking eye (3) on rear end panel (2) | ||
11 | Loosely screw screws (4) into power closing (1) through locking eye (3) | ||
12 | Align locking eye (3) according to marking and tighten bolts (4) | Top edge of carrier plate for locking eye (3) should be parallel to upper edge of rear end panel (2) | |
13 | Connect electrical connector (5) | ||
14 | Install rear center section paneling (9) | Do not install locking eye cover (8). | |
15 | Check height of trunk lid (10) | Closed trunk lid (10) should be flush with rear fenders | |
If necessary, adjust height of trunk lid (10)Refer to: | |||

16 | Tighten bolts (4) | | |
17 | Install locking eye cover (8) | ||
18 | Check remote trunk closing (RTC) for proper function | Open and close trunk lid (10) with various actuation possibilities. See owner's manual |
