Remove/install

Remove drive (2) for pop-up roof

Unscrew bolt (4)

 Installation:
The bolt (4) must be clean and free of grease.
Otherwise leakage is not possible.

 Installation: Use new bolt (4).
Lay ring-shaped butyl cord down on bottom of bolt head of bolt (4) without gaps.

Remove front bracket for awning

Only when removing front right set-up brace (1).

Unscrew nut (10)

Remove bolt (9) and spacer sleeve (11)

Remove support (8) from set-up brace (1)

Remove spring nut for bolt (4) from roof rail (5)

Disconnect electrical connector (6)

Expose electrical wiring harness (7) on vehicle roof


Observe assembly position of electrical wiring harness (7).
Otherwise the electrical wiring harness (7) can be damaged.

Mark assembly position of set-up bracket (1)

Remove below bracket rail on set-up bracket (1) on guide rail (arrow)

 Bolt, bracket of lower clamp rail to guide rail

Remove bolts (3)

 Note different lengths of bolts (3).

 Bolt, front support clamp to vehicle roof

Remove set-up brace (1) from vehicle roof, guide out of roof rail (5) toward rear and remove

Install in the reverse order



Check pop-up roof for proper function
