Notes on performing assembly work on Vario roof

Remove catch on Vario roof front section (1)

Do not loosen bolts (2) on left mount (3) or right mount (4), because they are adjusted at the factory and cannot be moved to the correct position again without measuring device.

Remove Bowden cables, hydraulic and electric lines from Vario roof front section (1)

 Installation: Replace cable tie and damaged clips.

Move Vario roof with Vario roof switch to intermediate position until bolts (5) are accessible

 When opening the Vario roof, ensure that electric and hydraulic lines as well as Bowden cables are not pinched.

Leave ignition switched on. The Vario roof is not in a confirmed end position and the stop function starts.

It stops the Vario roof for 7 minutes in the current position. After expiration of this time, the Vario roof moves to the next mechanical end position by force of gravity

The stop function can be increased by an additional 7 min. by actuating the Vario roof switch again.

Unscrew bolts (5) from left mount (3) and right mount (4)


