Open and close soft top x 3

After work on soft top hydraulic system.

To bleed hydraulic system.

Remove soft top control hydraulic unit (A7/5) until oil container (1) of soft top control hydraulic unit (A7/5) can be accessed

Do not disconnect any electrical or hydraulic lines from soft top control hydraulic unit (A7/5).

Read off oil level from oil level mark (A) on oil container (1)

The oil level must be within the marking (A). For this purpose, the soft top control hydraulic unit (A7/5) must be in the installation position.

Correct

Position soft top control hydraulic unit (A7/5) so that filling screw (2) can be removed without hydraulic fluid being able to flow out of the filler opening of oil container (1)


Handle soft top control hydraulic unit (A7/5) with care.
Otherwise, the hydraulic lines can be damaged.

Remove filling screw (2)


Place dry cloth under oil container (1).
Otherwise, the vehicle interior can be contaminated by leaking hydraulic fluid.

Leaked hydraulic fluid causes an unpleasant odor that is very difficult to eliminate.

Using a filler syringe, fill oil container (1) until oil level is within oil level mark (A)

To properly check the oil level, the filler opening must be closed and the soft top control hydraulic unit (A7/5) in the installation position.
