Remove

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)

 After a waiting time of min. 20 s the hydraulic is depressurized.

Remove left luggage compartment lining

Remove paneling from spare wheel well

Separate electrical connections (1)

Unscrew bolt (2) and remove with mounting rail

 Bolt, mounting rail for hydraulic unit to vibration damper

Remove soundproofing (3) from soft-top control hydraulic unit (A7/5)

 Mounting wedge

Expose electrical line of soft-top control hydraulic unit (A7/5)

Disconnect hydraulic lines from soft-top control hydraulic unit (A7/5)

Remove soft-top control hydraulic unit (A7/5) from vehicle

 The hydraulic pump is integrated into the soft to control hydraulic unit (A7/5) and cannot be replaced separately.



Install

Position soft-top control hydraulic unit (A7/5) horizontally in installation position

Connect hydraulic lines on soft-top control hydraulic unit (A7/5)

Connect electrical connections (1)

Add hydraulic oil up slightly below "MAX" marking

If required.



Hydraulic fluids (Specification 343.0)

 Use suitable funnel or bottle.

 Oil filler screw to hydraulic unit reservoir

Open soft-top with switch and close

 The hydraulic system can be bled by opening and closing.

Check oil level in soft-top control hydraulic unit (A7/5), correct

Install soundproofing (3)

Route electrical line of soft-top control hydraulic unit (A7/5)

Install mounting rail with bolt (2) and tighten bolt (2)

 Bolt, mounting rail for hydraulic unit to vibration damper

Install left trunk paneling
