Remove/install water drain hose for Vario roof rear window

Removing

1

Remove trunk partition

 Vehicles up to 28.2.06:

Remove/install trunk retractable partition

Remove rear side window together with power window

AR67.30-P-4000R

Separate water drain hose (1) from upper water drain hose (2)

Fold down recess (3) and remove grommet (4)

Guide cable through water drain hose (1) to trunk and secure in area of recess (3)

 Mask off cables end using adhesive tape. Otherwise body may be damaged.

Press mounting point (arrow B) of water drain hose (1) in hollow space below Vario roof main bearing

Remove water drain hose (1) over trunk



Install

Spray water drain hose (1) at mounting points (arrows A, B) with cleaning agent

Cleaner

Guide water drain hose (1) with cable into hollow space below Vario roof main bearing up to mounting point (arrow A)

 Completely press through mounting point (arrow A).

Pull back water drain hose (1) into trunk until mounting point (arrow A) arrests

Press water drain hose (1) through recess in direction of arrow against opening, grasp with suitable pliers and pull through opening until mounting point (arrow B) arrests

 Carefully pull water drain hose (1) through opening to prevent damaging water drain hose (1).

Pull cable out of water drain hose (1)

Position water drain hose (1) on recess (3) and install grommet (4)

Connect water drain hose (1) with upper water drain hose (2)

15

Install rear side window together with power window

Install trunk partition

 Vehicles up to 28.2.06:

Remove/install trunk retractable partition

Perform rain test in repair area
