Adjust Bowden cable for tubular frame locks in trunk

Disassemble

1

Remove side paneling in trunk

Pivot trunk lid with roof switch toward rear

Remove lock funnel, screw in bolts and tighten



Momentarily reactuate roof switch in the opening direction

 Trunk lid pivoted toward rear, Vario roof closed

Check adjustment of Bowden cable (1)

 Gap dimension between lock pawl (4) and lock housing (5): 0.5 mm

 When checking, the elongated hole in the hydraulic

cylinder (6) should be in contact with

the bolt (7) on top, if necessary 

push trunk lid toward front by hand until elongated hole makes contact with bolt (7) on top

Adjust

Adjust Bowden cable (1) in direction of arrow

Open trunk lid with roof switch several times and close

 Check gap dimension between lock pawl (4) and lock housing (5), if necessary 

repeat adjustment of Bowden cable (1)



Assemble

Install lock funnel

 Position bolts only, do not tighten

Close trunk lid with roof switch

10

Open trunk lid and tighten bolts on lock funnel



Install paneling on side in trunk
