Remove/install

Completely open soft top

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)

Remove left and right sun visor (2)

Unclip left or right frame (3) and remove

Unclip paneling (4) toward rear bottom

 Clip remover

Pull paneling (5) on left and right sides of vehicle down until electrical connector (9) and bolts (6) are accessible

Unclip, release and disconnect electrical connector (9)

Mark installation position of bolts (6) on windshield crossmember (7)

Unscrew bolts (6) and remove lock (1) on left or right from windshield crossmember (7)


Keep magnetic tool away from sensor installed in lock (1).
Otherwise malfunction of the sensor can occur.

 Installation:
Exactly maintain installation markings of bolts (6).
Otherwise the factory adjustment of the soft top can be changed.
