Open soft top

Leave soft top compartment lid up

Cover vehicle in rear area

To prevent scratching the paint during assembly work.

Remove paneling from soft top at front

Mark seat of soft top locking unit (2) with markings (3).

Unscrew mounting screws (1).

Remove soft top locking unit (2) with hydraulic cylinder locking unit (6)

Remove hydraulic cylinder locking unit (6)

Install hydraulic cylinder locking unit (6)

Install soft top locking unit (2)

Align soft top locking unit (2) with markings (3) and position mounting bolts (1).

Close soft top

So that soft top locking unit (2) is positioned correctly on roof frame with pins (5).

Tighten mounting bolts (1) on outer lock bearing (2.2) of soft top locking unit (2)

Open soft top

Leave soft top compartment lid up

Check dimension "b" of soft top locking unit (2).

Dimension "b" is measured between the outer edges of the pins (5).If applicable, slide right lock bearing (2.2) of soft top locking unit (2) to corresponding direction to correct.

Close soft top locking unit (2) by hand.

Use Allen wrench from vehicle tool kit to close

Check dimension "a" on right side of soft top locking unit (2) on lock bearing (2.2).

Dimension "a" is measured between pin (5) and hook tip (4).If applicable, slide center drive (2.1) of soft top locking unit (2) in lateral direction to correct.

Check dimension "a" on left side of soft top locking unit (2) on lock bearing (2.2).

Perform procedure on left side as described in step 15.

Always maintain dimension "a" on left, because the function "Soft top locked" is actuated on this side.
