1 | Remove paneling from liftgate (1) | ||
2 | Detach door foil on liftgate (1) until liftgate closing assist electric motor (M76/3) is accessible | ||
3 | Expose liftgate closing assist electric motor (M76/3) with soundproofing (2) on liftgate (1) | Installation: Ensure that dampening (2) is seated correctly on liftgate (1). | |
4 | Remove vapor barrier (2) | Installation: Ensure that dampening (2) is seated correctly on liftgate closing assist electric motor (M76/3). | |
5 | Remove door lock cable (4) from liftgate closing assist electric motor (M76/3) | ||
6 | Disconnect electrical connector (3) and remove liftgate closing assist electric motor (M76/3) | ||
7 | Install in the reverse order | ||

8 | Check closing assist for liftgate (1) for proper function |
