Disconnect electrical connector (1)

Unlock retainer (2) and remove guide rod (3) from liftgate control drive unit (M74)

Unscrew bolts (4) and remove liftgate control drive unit (M74)

Install

Position liftgate control drive unit (M74) and tighten bolts (4)

Bolt, drive unit for power liftgate to body

*BA72.20-N-1021-03J

Connect electrical connector (1)

Adjust liftgate control drive unit (M74) by actuating liftgate open/close switch to "Liftgate open" position

When replacing tailgate control drive unit (M74).

Install guide rod (3) on liftgate control drive unit (M74) and lock retainer (2)

Install rear right side paneling
