Long wedge

Detach/attach tailgate trim

1	Open rear window.

2	Remove cover (1) using  long wedge.

3	Remove sealing frame (2) in lower area from tailgate.

4	Remove screw/bolts (3).

5	Close rear window.

6	Open tailgate.

7	Release guides (4) and catch hooks (5) of window frame lining (6) from tailgate trim (7) using a  long wedge.

8	Remove right guide wedge (8). 

9	Release tailgate trim (7) from tailgate using  long wedge.

 Installation: Replace all retaining clips (9).

 Installation: Position tailgate trim (7) on tailgate and press on until all retaining clips (9) audibly engage in tailgate.

10	Model 447.8, 448 with code W68 (Electrically operated tailgate) Disconnect electrical connector (10).

11	Disconnect electrical connector (11) and remove tailgate trim (7).

12	Install in the reverse order.
