Remove rear window (1)

MODEL 415 with CODE W78 (Window in liftgate or hinged rear door with wiper and washer system)

Remove liftgate (2)

AR72.20-S-1020C

Remove liftgate door lock

AR72.20-S-4065C

Remove license plate

5

Remove license plate lamp bracket

AR72.20-S-1010C

Remove Mercedes star

 Assembly: Check Mercedes star, replace if necessary.

Remove model plate

 Assembly: Check model plate, replace if necessary.

Remove guide wedges (3)

 For this purpose unscrew bolts from guide wedges (3).

Remove bracket (4) on electrical wiring harness

Remove body grommets (5) from license plate lamp mount

 Assembly: Check body grommets (5) on license plate lamp mount, replace if necessary.

Remove body grommets (6) from interior trim mount

 Assembly: Check body grommets (6) on interior trim mount, replace if necessary.

Remove sheet metal clips (7) from interior trim mount

Remove plugs (8)

14

Remove edge guard (9)

 Assembly: If applicable, replace adhesive label.

Check cavity preservation, replace if necessary:


