Remove/install

Completely open rear door.

Completely open side window.

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Remove screw/bolt (2).

Remove cover (3) and remove screw located underneath.

Grasp door stowage compartment (5) in outermost area at front and rear (arrows a) and detach door trim (1) from rear door via a sudden pull.


Detach door trim (1) by hand.
Door trim (1) can be damaged if a tool is used.

 Ensure that the rear door is held in open position when pulling.
Helper required.

Unclip remaining retaining clips of door trim (1) up to internal sealing rail (arrow A).

Carefully remove door trim (1) from internal sealing rail (arrow B) starting from front up to release knob (6).

Detach door trim (1) (arrow D) and carefully remove from rear door in the area of door lock (arrow C).

Remove door trim (1) from rear door until electrical connectors and wire of door handle (4) can be accessed.

Detach wire of door handle (4) from mount.

Disconnect electrical connectors at rear door control unit.

Disconnect electrical connector at speaker.

Remove door trim (1).

Install in the reverse order.
