Remove/install crank window in front door

Removing

 Danger!

Risk of injury due to hands being crushed when window glass is not secure

Secure window to prevent it from falling down.

The power window motor should not be supplied with power directly to prevent damage.

Remove door foil from left or right front door

Loosen inner sealing rail (2) from inner door panel (3).

Mask off upper edge of inner door panel (3) with suitable textile adhesive tape (4).

Connect driver power window, outside mirror and trunk lid switch group to left door control unit or front passenger power window switch to right door control unit.

 The driver power window, outside mirror and trunk lid switch group and front passenger power window switch are installed on the corresponding door lining.

Switch on ignition and raise crank window (1) until bolts (5) are accessible.

Switch off ignition and withdraw transmitter key or Keyless Go start/stop button from the EIS [EZS] control unit

 Keyless Go start/stop button only for vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go.

Remove bolts (5)

Raise crank window (1) and remove from door shaft toward rear.

 Carefully remove crank window (1) from door shaft; crank window (1) can be damaged



Install

Install crank window (1) in door shaft, insert into mounts on power window and screw in bolts (5) up to stop.

 Carefully install crank window (1) in door shaft; crank window (1) can be damaged.

 Ensure that crank window (1) is seated correctly in mounts on power window.

Remove textile adhesive tape (4).

Install inner sealing rail (2)
