Completely move down crank window

Close front door (1) and check gap dimensions

Unscrew bolts (3) and remove locking eye (2)

 Mark installation position of lock striker (2) to facilitate installation.

Loosen bolts (4) and adjust gap dimensions by moving front door (1)

Gap dimensions on hoods, doors and lids

 Adjust front door (1) carefully, otherwise the paint in the area of the front door (5) can be damaged.

 Helper required for securing front door (1).

Tighten bolts (4)

 Repair paint damage on bolts (4).



Loosen bolts (arrows C) on inner door panel and adjust transition (A) to front fender (5) by moving front door (1)

 The contour of the front fender (5) must be flush with the contour of the front door (1) or project by a maximum of 1 mm.

Tighten bolts (arrows C)

 Repair paint damage on bolts (arrows C)



Insert lock striker (2) and screw in bolts (3) up to stop

Completely close front door (1) and adjust transition (B) to rear fender by moving striker eye (2)

 The contour of the front door (1) must be flush with the contour of the rear fender or project by a maximum of 1 mm.

Tighten bolts (3)



Protect front door (1) and A-pillar in area of upper door hinge (6) and lower door hinge (7) against corrosion; remove excessive wax.
