Remove/install door sill molding

1 Rear door edge guard

2 Retaining clip

3 Front door edge guard

4 Footwell paneling

5 Entrance plate

Remove/install

Remove bottom paneling from B-pillar

Remove rear door edge guard (1) and front door edge guard (3) in area of door sill molding (5) and footwell paneling (4).

Door sill moldings shown with seat removed for better illustration

Loosen footwell paneling (4) in area of door sill molding

Remove retaining clips (2) from door sill molding (5).

Unclip door sill molding (5) in marked areas (arrows) from rear toward front with suitable tool

Unclip door sill molding (5) carefully to prevent scratching and breakage.

Unhook guide lug on footwell paneling (4) from door sill molding (4) and move door sill molding (5) toward rear.

Remove door sill molding (5).

Handle door sill molding (5) carefully to prevent scratching and breakage.

Installation: Ensure that seat belt is routed properly.

Install in the reverse order
