Remove cover on gearshift lever

Remove ashtray housing (3)

Installation: Check ashtray housing mechanism (3) for proper function, if necessary loosen threaded connection of center console (1) and tighten center console (1) without tension.

Unclip covers (4) in installation opening of ashtray housing (3).

Remove bolts (5)

Installation: Ensure that center console (1) is installed without tension.

Remove bolts (7) on shift gate.

Installation: Ensure that center console (1) is installed without tension.

Remove bolts (8)

Installation: Ensure that center console (1) is installed without tension.

Loosen bolt (6) approx. one half turn on left and right

to unlock arresting pins on center console (1).

Pullout floor covering at transition area between center console (1) and upper control panel in front passenger footwell and disconnect electrical connectors (9).

Remove center console (1)

10

Reinstall in opposite order
