Remove/install

Move steering wheel all the way to the rear and to the bottom.

Adjust driver's side and front passenger side front seat into the end position toward the rear.

Remove center console.

Expose driver's side fuse and relay module (K40/6) and place to one side.

Remove fuse holder (1).

Disconnect electrical connector (2) from driver's side fuse and relay module (K40/6).

Remove trim from the left and right A-pillar.

Remove start/stop switch.

Disconnect electrical connector from exterior lights switch (S1).

Disconnect electrical connector from electric parking brake switch (S76/15).

Disconnect electrical connector (3).

Remove speaker in the instrument panel (7).

Remove screw (4) from the front passenger airbag bracket.

Remove air ducting (5) below the instrument panel (7).

Remove screws (6) of the instrument panel (7).

Cover head-up display.

Cover head-up display with a new soft rag (e.g. polishing cloth).
Otherwise, the head-up display may be scratched.

Lift instrument panel (7) forward slightly, pull toward the rear slightly, and disconnect the electrical connectors (8) from the front passenger airbag.
