Cut back remaining adhesive bead on side window (1) with felt scraper to a thickness of 1 mm.

When reusing previously installed side window (1).

Remove loose adhesive material.

When reusing previously installed side window (1).

Clean bonding area on side window (1) and rub dry.

 Use recommended cleaner.
Otherwise required adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.

 Do not touch bonding surfaces with bare fingers and they should be free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other adhesive components or dirt residues.
Otherwise the strength of the adhesive connection can be impaired and proper adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.

4.1

When reusing previously installed side window (1).
Apply primer to area with damaged primer layer or areas without remaining adhesive bead.

 Observe processing information from manufacturer.
Otherwise the strength of the adhesive connection can be impaired and proper adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.

 If more than 12 hours have expired since cutting back the adhesive bead, apply primer to adhesive bead.

4.2

When installing new side window (1).
Directly apply primer to bonding surface on side window (1).

 Observe processing information from manufacturer.
Otherwise the strength of the adhesive connection can be impaired and proper adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.

Check primer coat.

 The primer is applied properly when the screen print in the application area is opaque to light (flashlight test).
