| Mark separation points and cut (areas C and D).

| Drill holes for MAG welding (areas B and E).

| Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in crosshatched areas and around holes.

| Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

| Remove shavings and drill chips.

| Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
