Install side roof paneling and weld in

Install side roof paneling (1) and center roof paneling (2), fit with spacer blocks and fix in place with side roof paneling (1).

 When removing, observe specified dimensions and position of spacer blocks.

Remove spacer blocks and center roof paneling (2).

Drill dia. 5 mm rivet holes and countersink (areas A and B).

Remove side roof paneling (1).

Apply sealant to foam parts in crosshatched areas.

2KApply -component adhesive material in cross-hatched areas.

 Thoroughly clean all bonding surfaces and do not coat with zinc dust paint.
2KOtherwise the adhesive force of the 2-component adhesive can be decreased.

 Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces. 2KRefer to manufacturer specifications for adhesive curing and application times.

Install, align and fix side roof paneling (1) into place.

Rivet side roof paneling (1) using blind rivets, steel/steel 4.88 (areas A and B).

Side roof paneling (1)   (areas C and D).

Side roof paneling (1)   (areas E and F).

 Perform weld seams in intervals and allow to cool down in between to prevent heat distortion.

Grind side roof paneling (1) down flat in crosshatched areas.

Clean welds on side roof paneling (1).

Solder surface on side roof paneling (1) in area of inert gas welds with body solder and smooth.

Remove grinding and drill shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
