1	Mark separating points on side roof paneling (1) (areas A and C).

 Mark separating points along the edges.

2	Disconnect separating points from side roof paneling (1) (areas A and C).

 Do not make the cuts too deep.
Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

Body power jigsaw

3	Expose spot welds on side roof paneling (1) (area B).

 Commercially available devices/tools
Rotary wire brush

4	Cut off spot welds on side roof paneling (1) (area B).

Spot weld milling machine

5	Mark separating point on side roof paneling (1) (area F).

 Mark separating point along edge.

6	Disconnect separating point on side roof paneling (1) (area F).

 Do not cut too deeply.
Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

7	Expose spot welds on side roof paneling (1) (areas D and E).

 Commercially available devices/tools
Rotary wire brush

8	Cut off spot welds on side roof paneling (1) (areas D and E).

 Cut off spot weld (arrow) through 2 panel thicknesses.

Spot weld milling machine

9	Remove damaged side roof paneling (1).

10	Mark separating point on remaining piece (2) (area G).

Rotary wire brush

11	Disconnect separating point on remaining piece (2) (area G).

Body power jigsaw

12	Remove remaining piece (2).

13	Grind down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

14	Bend up remaining piece in cross-hatched area (area H).

Chisel

15	Remove shavings and milling chips.

Wet and dry vacuum cleaner

16	Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas and around holes.

17	Remove shavings.
