Install roof attachment

Install roof attachment (1) on vehicle.


Helper required.

Lightly tighten bolts (3) by hand.

Mark position of roof attachment (1) in relation to roof paneling (2).

Remove roof attachment (1), turn and lay down on suitable subsurface.

Apply adhesive material (4) with cartridge gun and triangular nozzle to roof attachment (1).

It is necessary that the adhesive material (4) has the same dimensions (a) and (b) as the cutout of the triangular nozzle when applying.
Otherwise leakage can occur and strength is not ensured.

Commercially available devices/tools
Electric and pneumatic cartridge gun

The processing time of the adhesive material (4) is approx. 30 to 40 minutes from the time of application.
The processing time of the adhesive material (4) at 20 °C and normal air humidity is min. 12 h. Low temperatures as well as air humidity increase the curing time.

Moisten adhesive material (4) with water (spray bottle).

The curing process is accelerated by the fine water mist on the adhesive material (4).

Install roof attachment (1).

Commercially available devices/tools
Cup suction tool/shackle (for removing and installing windows)

Helper required.

The roof attachment (1) can only be aligned slightly after installation.

Tighten roof attachment (1) with bolts (3) .

Remove excessive adhesive material (4) outside and inside.
