Cut door frame paneling lower section (1) at separating points (areas A and B).

Do not make the cuts too deep.
This prevents damage to the component parts located underneath.

Expose spot welds on door frame paneling lower section (1) (areas C, D, D1, E, F and F1).

Cut off spot welds on door frame paneling lower section (1) (areas C, D, D1, E, F and F1).

Cut off spot welds through 2 panel thicknesses (areas D1 and F1).

Remove damaged lower section of door frame paneling (1).

Removal is more difficult due to foam parts (2).

Remove damaged foam parts (2).

Only where foam parts (2) are damaged.

Grind mating surfaces in cross-hatched area and around holes down to bare metal.

Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

Remove shavings and milling chips.

Zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges.
